Ourlads' Profile:
2020 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about JACOB EASON: Washington, 6057 231 4.89. Junior entry, two-year starter, Lake Stevens, WA. Started one year as a freshman at Georgia and one year for the Huskies. Eason’s season passing total was the fourth highest in Washington’s history and his 23 touchdown passes ranked sixth. He was the 2015 Gatorade National High School Player of the Year. Was injured in 2016 at Georgia and played behind Jake Fromm in 2017. Sat out 2018 after transferring. Possesses an elite right arm that can make every throw in the NFL playbook. Sets his feet and throws with anticipation and timing on crossing routes. Makes good reads when he has time to scan the field. Improved his deep ball accuracy in 2019. Sells the screen and flat passes. Drops ball off with touch. Has big durable frame and uses it when corralling poor shotgun snaps from the center. Needs to be more consistent about taking something off his high velocity check down passes. Was limited in the Huskies’ offense from throwing a full route tree. Lacks foot quickness to avoid pocket pressure. Struggles finding the open lane to avoid the rush. Eason’s arm strength is his ticket to play on Sundays, but will have to develop more pocket feel and movement. Decision making must improve. Needs time and experience in a pro style offense. 2019 stats: 260/405, 3132 yds, 64.2%, 23 TD, 8 INT, -69 yds rushing, 1 TD, 143.95 QB rating. Ball velocity 59 mph. OSR:15/15. Third/ fourth round. (A-32 7/8, H-9 1/2, SS-4.75, VJ-27.5).
