San Diego State, 6011 200 4.68. Junior entry, three-year starter at placekicker and one year at punter, San Diego, CA. Second-team All-Mountain West in 2021. Left-footed kicker, he has a cannon of a leg as seen on 85% touchbacks on kickoffs. Had 18 punts over 60 yards including two 80-yard punts. Has the ability to flip the field and can help a team win the field position battle. Left-footed kicks have a different spin creating uncertainty for returners. His kicks have the appearance of top spin with forward bounce when they hit the turf. He’s a former soccer player, hurdler and defensive back in high school and can run. Could be a threat on a fake. Accurate placekicker for the most part rarely missing an extra point but field goal percentage slipped to 64% in 2021. He’s a boomer without a lot of touch. Too many touchbacks when a ball downed close to the goal-line is in order. Needs to develop the ability to dial it down to get it on the ground or out of bounds inside the 20. Long field goals tend to come out low and he has had some blocked. He will be drafted as a punter and backup placekicker who won’t hurt you in either role. His punting skill is unique as he is the best punter to come out in a long time.
