Oregon | HT: 6021 | WT: 214 | 40 time: 4.65 | Arm: 3078 | Hand: 1018 | Wing: 7414

Five-year starter. All-Pac 12 in both 2023 and 2022, first-team in 2023 in addition to winning the conference Offensive Player of the Year Award and a spot on the All-America squad. Spent three years at Auburn, following in the footsteps of his father. He was the first true freshman to start under center for the program since 1946. The son of a legendary high school coach. After winning the 2019 SEC Freshman of the Year Award, his career took off. He graduated in just three years and transferred to Oregon. He left there as the program’s all-time leader in completion percentage and set single season records in completions, yards, and passing touchdowns. His completion percentage in 2023 was an all-time NCAA record. Nix started more games under center than any other quarterback in FBS history. Simply put, this is a guy who is battle-tested, mentally and physically tough, and all-time productive. The physical traits are more than good enough to make everything happen on the field a quarterback needs to make happen. Twitchy, explosive, bendy athlete who excels at evading pressure. Productive scrambler who will break tackles and swallow big chunks of yards with his legs. Throws off-schedule, showing creativity and savviness. Put together well with strength in his big hands to protect the ball. Excels under pressure. Knows where his receivers will be and shows a strong understanding of coverage schemes and blitz packages alike. Has more than enough arm strength to make all the throws. Catchable and friendly deep ball. Made an unusual number of passes behind the line of scrimmage. Oregon designed a lot of easy, one-read throws in their offense. Benefitted from poor opposing defenses that kept receivers wide open. Did not have to make a lot of tight-window plays. Inconsistent spin and accuracy. Will rush through mechanics and misfire.

2023 Stats: 364/470, 4508 yds, 77.4%, 45 TD, 3 INT, 234 yds rushing, 6 TD, 188.3 QB rating. Draft projection: 1st/2nd round
