2024 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about JORDAN MORGAN:
Arizona | HT: 6050 | WT: 311 | 40 time: 5.04 | Arm: 3278 | Hand: 1078 | Wing: 8138
Three-year starter. Earned first-team All-Pac 12 in 2023 and 2022. Morgan is a career left tackle who never played another position in college. His length limitations and pass protection issues could lead to a transition to guard at the next level. Either way, this is a nicely built and athletic blocker who checks a lot of boxes when looking for tools to develop. Has a tap dancer footwork with fast hands that he understands how to use. A natural knee bender who can play with a squatty lower half and flat back. His comfort moving at a fast rate of speed coming off a torn ACL suffered in November of 2022 is an encouraging sign of what is to come. Has the baseline ability across multiple spectrums to be a solid, reliable starter but there is physical improvement needed as a power blocker first and foremost. Has a lot of game experience and brings a versatile skill set to the table that could initially back up multiple spots as well. Quick and sudden out of his stance. Quick jab to the chest plate with his eyes up and good body control. Can mirror when engaged. Easy lateral transitions. Will stay square and avoids oversetting from his waist. Needs to keep the feet more active against speed. Does not create enough push in the run game and his anchor against the bull rush is not NFL-ready just yet. Would like to see better recovery tactics, needs to show more consistency with replacing his hands. Lack of length shows up against NFL-caliber rushers.
OSR:20/50. Draft projection: 2nd/3rd round
