Duke | HT: 6053 | WT: 313 | 40 time: 5.20 | Arm: 3278 | Hand: 0938 | Wing: 7934
Four-year starter. Earned first-team All-ACC the past two years. Spent one season at center before moving to left tackle for the duration of his career. He is a technically sound, easy-bending blocker who projects best inside. His lack of length will be less of an issue there. His experience snapping the ball in 2020 will only answer more questions about his potential to fit into multiple roles at the next level. He is an intelligent and a blue-collar type teammate, showing the want-to as he is constantly playing through the whistle and looking for extra work. There are some physical limitations to his game that can create issues against big and long defenders. The lack of reach and true strength causes him to lose ground but the ability to recover and adjust is there. Bendability in pass protection is outstanding. Good footwork post-snap with attention to detail. Gets himself in the right spot to gain initial advantage. Plays low to the ground with accurate hands. Able to keep full foot planted into ground, showing the necessary lower joint flexibility. Knows how to switch up his approach. Will play fast up to the second level and brings power on the move. Has a hard time winning the length battle. Lacks enough power to hold ground against a quality bull rush. Too often ends up on the ground. Has never played guard. Will be a starter at some point in his career, but early on he projects to a quality sixth-lineman spot who can back up multiple spots.
