2024 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about DOMINICK PUNI:
Kansas | HT: 6051 | WT: 313 | 40 time: 5.35 | Arm: 3338 | Hand: 1018 | Wing: 8118
Four-year starter. Spent four years at Central Missouri. Had his 2020 season canceled because of Covid and played in just one 2021 contest because of an MCL injury. Transferred to Kansas in 2022, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2023. Over his 24 starts at Kansas, Puni split time between left guard and tackle. While his skillset will most likely land him inside at the next level, his experience and ability on the outside will increase the draft weekend value. Puni is excellent on the move and plays with strong, accurate hands. The overall talent and physical ability cause some hesitation when projecting his upside and potential as a starter, but at the very least he can be a valuable backup for multiple spots on the line, including center (where he looked comfortable at the Senior Bowl). Advanced and effective hand-techniques that gain initial control of the engagement. Gets under the pads of his target and will displace them while getting his hips in the hole. Excels on the move, comfortable and snappy in space. Can adjust his weight and momentum. Turns speed into power. Not a natural bender. Plays with some curve in his back. Has a hard time mirroring against speed. Does not latch on long enough. Will get straight-legged at times. Will be a 24-year old rookie.
