Junior entry, one-year starter. All-SEC in 2023. Thick around the hips with thin, light ankles that support his fast-twitched running style. An explosive back with the kind of top end speed that can change how an offense operates. His ability to create on his own in the open field will be a sought-after trait at his size. Big play back with elite burst and speed on an NFL-frame. Shows sudden jump cuts to avoid defenders and explodes in the open field and will not be caught from behind. Led SEC in rushes that went for 15+ yards and also finished number one in yards per carry and yards after contact per attempt. Shows looseness in his hips to avoid heavy contact from defenders in space. Hungry, emotional runner that will keep fighting through the whistle. Effective blocker in pure one-on-one situations. Excellent in pass protection with punch and mirror. Fluid hands-catcher on the move. Pad level occasionally gets high inside and he lacks consistent vision to slide and pick the crease. Can run into crowded running lanes and provides a target for tacklers. Will bounce outside at times instead of trusting his vision. Has made some big runs doing that but it won’t always fly in the NFL. Ball security has been an issue at times with fumbles but there's been improvement. Struggles to properly make reads as a blocker. If he can tighten up his ball security and continue his ascending ability as a blocker, he can be a lead back for a space-friendly offense.
