2024 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about CAM HART:
Notre Dame | HT: 6030 | WT: 202 | 40 time: 4.50 | Arm: 3300 | Hand: 0938 | Wing: 7878
Three year starter and team captain. Hart is a long, tall, smooth outside corner with ideal athleticism and size teams covet. Has experience playing multiple zone and man concepts. In press man coverage, his long arms allow him to get his hands on and reroute wide receivers. Easy turn and run, he can stay in phase through route breaks with excellent agility, In off man he shows a deliberate pedal that can speed up to maintain cushion. Footwork is precise and he is adept at maintaining leverage and undercutting short inside routes. Can easily flip his hips to match receivers inside or outside intermediate cuts. Quick reactions with the ball in the air, he wastes no steps on plant and drive. Has the length to attack the catch point when in phase. Aggressive in run support he has notable ability to avoid blocks coming downhill and launching into a tackle. Can be physical tackling, but often leaves his feet and doesn’t wrap up leaving himself vulnerable to a miss. Some inconsistency versus vertical routes as recovery ability is questionable if he gets out of phase. Lacks consistency getting his head around locating the ball in phase. Can be a little hesitant working in overlapping zones and can get caught in no man’s land as a result. Has had some injuries and shoulder surgeries so that needs to be checked on. Is due for foot surgery after pro day so teams will have to evaluate his readiness. If speed doesn’t check out, he could be looked at as a safety. His length and athleticism will be attractive as the big corner teams covet. Should be a factor on special teams as well.
