Missouri | HT: 5113 | WT: 179 | 40 time: 4.44 | Arm: 3100 | Hand: 0858 | Wing: 7458
Three year starter. First-team All-SEC and consensus second team All-America in 2023. Thin frame with outstanding athletic traits. Started his career at Missouri as a wide receiver and had playing time there. Has experience in off and press man along with outside zone and hard corner. Has also played slot corner. Fluid athlete with loose hips and smooth movements. Excellent short area agility and transitions to go with outstanding speed. As a press corner, flashes a physical two and off hand jam with easy turn and run. Can lock a receiver out on the sideline and stay in phase. Has effectively played press and bail. In off-man he shows a smooth pedal to maintain cushion. Times turn to lateral run with precise distance not to let a receiver on his toes. As a zone defender, has outstanding peripheral vision to process multiple routes in overlapping zones. Has made some remarkable plays on balls half a zone over. Has incredible anticipation and sudden plant and drive with the ball in the air. As a former receiver, his ball skills and hands show up. He can be in phase and find the ball, showing timing to get to the high point. Incredible ability to get his hand in the basket even playing from behind. Willing tackler in run support, he’s shown he can slip a block in space to make a play. More of a wrap and drag tackler, but will go low to make a big hit. When he goes low he doesn’t usually wrap so there are some misses. His lack of bulk shows up giving up yards after contact, taking on blocks, and battling on 50/50 balls. Used successfully as returner early in his career and that’s a plus. Size notwithstanding, he has solid corner skill for the right scheme.
