Ourlads' Profile:
2024 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about JACOB MONK:
Duke | HT: 6030 | WT: 308 | 40 time: 5.09 | Arm: 3238 | Hand: 1000 | Wing: 7900
Five-year starter. All-ACC three straight seasons. Nephew of Quincy Monk, a seventh-round pick by the NY Giants in 2002. Monk is one of the most experienced and athletic interior linemen in the class. Has played four positions along the line including an entire season at right tackle. His skill set and lack of length will likely land him at center in a zone-blocking scheme where he very well could be a top value pick on draft weekend. There are a lot of pro traits in his game and the vast experience at multiple spots can pave a way for a roster spot early on while he works at covering his weaknesses. Powerful and twitchy immediately post snap. Can create movement off the line via a combination of speed and pop. Violent and a try hard guy. Does his best on the move. Will cut off athletic defenders and stay attached. Does not have the anchor against a quality bull rush. Will lose the reach battle. Does not make himself long and will get walked back into pocket. Leaves himself vulnerable to double moves.
OSR:28/50. Draft projection: 5th-7th round
