One year starter for the CFL Toronto Argonauts. Stiggers is a unique story as he did not play college football. He hoped to attend Lane College and play there but Covid canceled the season. Eventually he played in the Fan Controlled Football League in 2022 then a CFL tryout with Toronto in 2023. He was the CFL Rookie of the Year and by most accounts the best corner in the league. He played in the East West Shrine Bowl and that’s where scouts took notice. He played corner on the wide Canadian field and his athleticism was on display. Playing mostly off coverage in zone and man, Stiggers shows a quick pedal with the right distance in cushion. Often played with his back to the boundary in a lateral shuffle to a run. He’s smooth in transition with fluid change of direction and no wasted movement. Limited press experience in man, but played some hard corner and press and bail in zone. Very sticky in man coverage he can mirror and cut off route breaks in all directions. Sudden reactions with the ball in the air, can separate a receiver from the ball. As a zone defender is advanced for his experience as he played multiple coverage including outside and hard corner concepts. Was excellent at reading the quarterback and multiple routes in overlapping zones. As a hard corner was adept at balancing high low routes and getting underneath the intermediate route. Excellent ball skills with an outstanding catch radius to go up and get interception opportunities. Willing tackler in run support he can wrap and drive but often went low without wrapping. Lack of experience is a factor and he will be raw in many aspects such as reacting to double moves and playing press, but he has tools.
