Three-year starter. Transfer from Liberty prior to the 2023 season, and started his college career at Division II Shepherd University. Typically aligns in the slot, but also aligns as the boundary safety regularly. Possesses solid height and poor weight with a tiny frame and good arm length. A flashy athlete with considerable movement skills to help him make plays all over the field. Excellent change-of-direction helps him flip his hips around and use great burst to stay in-phase with receivers attacking him vertically. Fights with bigger receivers and tight ends to hold his ground in man coverage. Solid range over the top in two-high schemes. Great processing speed in underneath coverage with rapid moving skills while visioning the quarterback and leveraging his area. Shows notable tracking skills to pluck the ball out of the air when given the opportunity. Will come down from high safety and throw his body on the line to knock ball carriers to the ground. A willing defender in run support with effort and desire to make an impact. Good foot speed and acceleration in pursuit to catch ball carriers from behind. Misses tackles in the box and the open-field regularly as he leaves his feet and lowers his head. Gets bullied by blockers in space and struggles to disengage. While he is physical, his lack of weight and marginal strength will make it challenging to cover big slots and tight ends at the next level. Provides little value in pass rush as he struggles to beat pass protectors off the edge.
