Four-year starter. All-Big 10 last fall. An experienced and battle tested receiver with above average size and speed. On paper he looks like a high-ceiling player who can be an explosive playmaker. Over his career, however, he never fully developed his skill set to a point where he was a dangerous threat that needed to be game planned against. He was never the number one guy. With that said, he was always one of their top two or three options over the course of four seasons. In addition, he was and can be a real factor on special teams and as a blocker. The tools are good enough to warrant a roster spot and his unique blend of size, speed, and physical presence raises his floor. Developed as a pass catcher in traffic. Coordinated and accurate when attacking the football. Has the baseline athleticism to promote the idea of more upside to be acquired. At the very least, will make an impact on specials and on the perimeter as a blocker. Does not create enough separation. Telegraphs routes and intentions. Slow to turn his head toward the ball. Ineffective and lethargic after the catch.
2023 Stats: 47-604, 12.9 ypr, 1 TD. OSR:10/33. Draft projection: 5th-7th round
