2024 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about CODY SCHRADER:
Missouri | HT: 5084 | WT: 202 | 40 time: 4.61 | Arm: 2818 | Hand: 0918 | Wing: 6858
Three-year starter. Spent four seasons (including a canceled 2020) at Division II Truman State prior to transferring to Missouri. All-GLVC three times, including two first-team honors and was the recipient of the conference’s Offensive Player of the Year Award in 2022, a year where he led the country with 2,074 yards. Earned first-team All-SEC honors and won the Burlsworth Trophy after leading the conference in rushing by a mile. Did not receive a single Division I offer out of high school and had to walk-on to Missouri’s roster in 2022. While his frame is full and he runs downhill with anger, he is off-the-charts small when looking at his wingspan and length. He is not a good enough athlete to overlook that never-changing fact but his relentless play style and developed mindset will create. It is hard to bet against players like this, but his ceiling is low. Hard-nosed play style. Excellent vision, will play patient and allow creases to appear. Quick starter with mobile hips and ankles that can seamlessly turn. Catches the ball away from his frame. Productive and reliable every season of his career. Small frame that is maxed out. Wingspan and lack of length can create issues in pass protection. Was given a lot of space to work with, creating some unknown how he can work in tight quarters against pro speed. Did not gain a lot of yards after contact.
2023 Stats: 1627 yds, 5.9 ypc, 14 TD. OSR:20/23. Draft projection: 5th-7th round
