Three-year starter. Spent four seasons at South Florida where he finished second-team All-AAC in 2022 prior to transferring to Colorado last season. Led the Buffaloes in both receptions and yards as he proved he could handle the spotlight and change in offensive systems. He is a fluid mover in and out of breaks that will reach his top speed in a hurry. Even though he is slightly undersized, Weaver plays big and tough. He is a fiery competitor who will create after the catch and as a returner. The lack of size and average speed will make things tough for him downfield, but he has potential to be a backup slot who can add value on special teams. Lightning quick foot speed. Can uncover against press coverage and has the sudden burst to gain fast separation. Quality routes come easy for him. Knows where to go after the catch, showing excellent awareness and feel. Loose but fast lower half makes it easy to slip through defenders. Can be bullied in traffic. Lacks staying power and does not break enough tackles. Hands are inconsistent. Will not impact the game as a blocker.
