One-year starter. All-Pac 12 in 2023. Spent three seasons at Mississippi State where he split carries before transferring to Washington for his final year where he was the lead back. He is a tough, gritty ball carrier who produced in big moments. Played injured down the stretch but remained a key piece to the Huskies National Championship appearance. The difference in schemes and roles he was placed in between the two programs proved his versatility. He caught 148 passes over his first three seasons and then led the Pac-12 in rushing touchdowns in 2023. There are limitations to his game athletically and it will cap his potential impact. But this is an old-school blue-collar type who will do the dirty work and add personality to the backfield. Hungry runner with the vision to forecast lanes before they exist. Reads the second level as he presses the line. High-effort footwork that will keep chopping after contact. Lowers his pad level and can be a weapon in short yardage. Productive blocker. Shows tightness in his hips as a lateral runner. Reaction needs an extra step or two. Traps the ball as a receiver. Does not break free from traffic after contact cleanly.
