Ourlads' Profile:
2024 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about DAVID WHITE JR.:
Western Carolina | HT: 6021 | WT: 195 | 40 time: 4.50 | Arm: 3112 | Hand: 0938 | Wing: 7613
Four-year starter. White began his career at Valdosta State prior to transferring to Western Carolina in 2022. While his career lacked standout production against a lower level of opponents, he was one of the surprise standouts at the East/West Shrine week. His size and route running enabled him to win off the line and separate. The ability to finish with notable build up speed will give NFL coaches plenty to work with after a year on the practice squad. As is the case with several receivers coming from a situation like this, White will need to prove he can test and play fast enough. Will need to prove he can provide special teams value early on to truly stick. Strong and sturdy frame. Can maintain balance against contact in contested situations. Understands how to get open. Wins off the line and will create a window for the quarterback to work with. Frames the ball with his hands. Can build up speed through the stem. Top gear does not stay over the top of cornerbacks. Overall speed and quickness may not be enough. Has the occasional double catch on short routes. Does not show physical nature after the catch.
2023 Stats: 34-519, 15.3 ypr, 6 TD. Draft projection: 7th round/PFA
