2024 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about GARRET GREENFIELD:
South Dakota State | HT: 6056 | WT: 305 | 40 time: 5.22 | Arm: 3312 | Hand: 0934 | Wing: 8318
Four-year starter. Two-time first-team All-MVFC and All-America. Greenfield spent the front half of his career on the right side before shifting to left tackle in 2022. He checks all the initial boxes when it comes to size, athletic ability, and bend. His 38.5 inch vertical was the best in NFLScouting Combine history. The first steps out of his stance are snappy and repeated and he shows attention to detail with hand techniques. Considering the tools he has that cannot be taught or acquired by most others, he is worth a shot at developing. The quality play at both tackle spots can factor into him evolving into a top end swing tackle that teams are always looking for. Fast and sudden out of his stance. Starts off ahead consistently. Easy bender at the knees with his hands ready to fire. Patient in his pass sets. Attacks his man, taking the initiative when the time is right. Can adjust his hands in a hurry. Shows ability to recover against the bull rush. Lateral quickness does not match straight line burst and speed. Fails to get across the interior defender on down blocks. Balance and control are not always present. Can get knocked off his point by a low, strong defender.
OSR:30/50. Draft projection: 7th round/PFA
