2024 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about ISAIAH WILLIAMS:
Illinois | HT: 5092 | WT: 182 | 40 time: 4.63 | Arm: 3018 | Hand: 0918 | Wing: 7234
Four-year starter. All-Big 10 the last two seasons, first-team in 2023. Williams arrived at Illinois as a quarterback, one of the top commitments in program history. Spent two seasons under center, starting four games in 2020. Transitioned to receiver in 2021 and went on to lead the team in both catches and yards for three straight years. Also added return value. Does not have enough pure speed or size to be a consistent factor at wide receiver, but the short area quickness and knack for finding green after the catch can get him a gadget-type role in a creative offense. Developed route running skill set that can somewhat offset his lack of speed and size. Will get open underneath with a combination of physical and mental skills. Breaks through tackles and can slide out of a crowd. Contact balance and competitive nature will create plays. Way off the chart when looking at important measurables. Below average speed and size. Will get hung up against press coverage. Does not power through contact with defenders when the ball comes their way. Ability as a downfield playmaker is unknown. Drops show both as a receiver and returner.
2023 Stats: 82-1055, 12.9 ypr, 5 TD. OSR:32/33. Draft projection: 5th-7th round
