Three-year starter. Aligns on the edge from five-tech out. Long, massive edge prospect with an excellent build. Possesses a unique blend of size and speed. Snaps his hips when engaging to create knockback. Patient as the backside contain and crashes hard when the ball declares away from him. Takes on pullers with violence to stalemate. Strong, violent hands to shed. Solid twitch when slanting into gaps. Uses his strong lower body to anchor versus double teams even when stood up. When he bullrushes, reaches out to hit the quarterback with his club-like arms to force him out of the pocket. Deadly long arm to overpower offensive tackles and drive them into the quarterback. Uses his enormous length to knock passes out of the air when he doesn’t get to the quarterback. Hits like a truck when closing in on tackles. High effort player in pursuit who chases receivers downfield to finish. Fringe upfield burst due to his lack of explosiveness. Needs to better use his length and his hand usage to extend and separate when engaged. Against down blocks he shows difficulties shedding and stacking. His tall stature allows linemen to get their hands underneath him with little challenge and raise his pad level. Tight hips when changing direction and limits his bend off the edge. Needs to add more pass rush moves to his arsenal to win with more consistency. Lacks counter moves and runs the hoop when he can’t win with his first move. Candidate to bump inside on passing downs, or permanently if he adds more weight to his frame.
