Ourlads' Profile:
2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about ALEC LINDSTROM:
Boston College, 6032 302 5.25. Three-year starter, Dudley, MA. Earned first-team All-ACC honors in both 2020 and 2021. Alec is the son of Chris, a former NFL lineman and the brother of Chris, a current starting guard for the Falcons. While he will not grade out quite like his first-round-pick brother, Alec clearly has the game running through his blood. He is a smart and tough competitor who will get the most out of himself. The question will be how well he can get in a good position while pass blocking. He bends too much at the waist, not enough at the knees and there isn’t enough athleticism or size to make up for that. If that can be fixed, he could be a starter. Gritty hand-fighter that is highly acclaimed for his on-field intelligence and leadership. Blue collar qualities and consistent effort. Hits his points as a lateral blocker both along the line and at the second level. Shows repeatable footwork and overall mechanics. Good power on contact, will get movement initially. Works hard to latch on while staying square. Will raise his hips when changing direction and gets too top-heavy the further into engagement he gets. A lot of balance issues stem from his tendency to bend at the waist.
OSR:37/51. Fifth/sixth round. (A-32, H-9 1/8, BP-25, 10-1.75).
