1. Loveland, Colston*

Michigan  6050  245

Two year starter, Gooding, ID. First team All-Big Ten in 2023. Attended Gooding High School and was a three-time first team all-state player at tight end. For his career he totaled 235 receptions for 3,141 yards and 35 touchdowns, 3,493 all-purpose yards and 39 scores. The No. 1 player in Idaho. Good soft hands, great body control, big target. Solid blocking skill, sustains his block keeping his feet moving. Squares up on defender at the second level. Will go after those smaller defensive backs with his excellent feet. Huge threat as a receiver. Good route runner, doesn’t need to be attached. Appears just as comfortable attached or in the slot. Uses opposite hand to swat defender away. High points the ball, using his height to his advantage. Is a mismatch for outside linebackers. Finds the soft spot in the coverage. May lack ideal bulk for inline blocking and can be a little late on down blocks. Has the tools to be an elite NFL tight end.

2. Briningstool, Jake

Clemson   6060  240

Two year starter, Brentwood, TN. Attended Ravenwood High School.  Third team All-ACC in 2023. Unanimous four-star prospect from the three major recruiting services who was also a unanimous top 100 national player, Mr. Football finalist in Tennessee for 6A as a senior. Over his career at Clemson, he’s caught 90 passes for 1005 yards and 12 touchdowns. He’s been a consistent threat in the passing game. Has a tall lanky frame with an excellent catch radius. His height puts him at a different level. He shows excellent deep speed and can stretch a defense. A mismatch for most linebackers in coverage. He’s adept at getting yards after the catch.  As a blocker works hard at getting his pad level down. Has a good motor in the run game. Excellent across the formation with kick out block. Among the most productive tight ends to be evaluated. Needs to add some quality muscle to his lean frame.  Productive player in college, strong locker room presence.

3. Evans, Mitchell

Notre Dame  6050  260

Two year starter, Wadsworth, OH. Attended hometown Wadsworth High School. Three-star recruit by 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals, Played quarterback and punted for Wadsworth in 2020. He finished with 2,132 passing yards and 23 touchdowns. Solid height/weight ratio with good length arms. Is more of a slot receiver than an attached tight end. Works hard at keeping a solid base for run blocking. Has excellent hands but needs to work on take-off as his initial burst off the ball is questionable. He needs to avoid defenders on routes. Is a scrappy ball carrier, will fight for more yards. At this point the offense doesn’t take advantage of his ability to find the soft spot in the defense. His big frame will be utilized at the next level. Still a work in progress as a blocker and can be late on down blocks. This former quarterback continues to learn the nuances of this position and is a high upside prospect.

4. Warren, Tyler

Penn State 6057, 260

Two year starter, Mechancsville, VA. Third team All-Big Ten in 2023. Versatile tight end with experience as a slot receiver and hand in the dirt tight end. Excellent size for the position, he is a two way prospect who will make a difference both as a receiver and inline blocker. As a receiver he shows soft, sure hands along with ability to run a diversified route tree. Quick in and out of cuts he accelerates out of breaks and has the speed to stretch the defense. Adept at finding soft spots in zone coverage. He fights for extra yardage after the catch and is tough to bring down. As a blocker he is quick off the ball and comes off with a good pad level to drive a defender off the ball. Comfortable blocking in space or inline. He is relatively inexperienced as a tight end and still has a learning curve, but upside is there for a solid NFL tight end.
