COLLEGE FOOTBALL SELECTIONS (WEEK 4)

Ourlads’ Football Network host Greg DePalma and Athlon managing editor Mitch Light get together each Thursday to analyze top matchups on the week’s college football schedule and make predictions. Catch OFN College Weekly for their full exchange.

* denotes featured play

No.22 TEXAS A&M (2-1) at No.1 ALABAMA (3-0)

Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. Site: Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa, Ala.

TV: CBS. Line: Alabama by 26.

Greg: *Texas A&M. Mitch: No pick.

Greg says: “I respect this A&M team. I think they’re for real. I think what they did against Clemson was for real. Yes, it’s a road game. I get all that. But I think this game is a football game going into the fourth quarter.”

No.7 STANFORD (3-0) at No.20 OREGON (3-0)

Kickoff: 8 p.m. Site: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, Ore.

TV: ABC. Line: Stanford by 1 ½.

Greg: Stanford. Mitch: Stanford.

Mitch says: “[For Stanford] to give up only two touchdowns in three games is pretty impressive. Oregon’s put up some gaudy stats against bad teams. … If we get even 70 percent of last year’s Bryce Love, I think Stanford with that balance will be tough to beat.”

No.3 CLEMSON (3-0) at GEORGIA TECH (1-2)

Kickoff: Noon. Site: Bobby Dodd Stadium, Atlanta.

TV: ABC. Line: Clemson by 16 ½.

Greg: No pick. Mitch: Clemson.

Mitch says: “As much as I love the option, I just think this option against a defensive line like [Clemson’s] … it’s so athletic and so good. They play every year; I think Clemson the last couple of years has done well against Georgia Tech. They have not been burned by the option.”

WASHINGTON ST. (3-0) at USC (1-2)

Kickoff: 10:30 p.m. Site: Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles

TV: ESPN. Line: USC by 4 ½.

Greg: *Washington St. Mitch: Washington St.

Greg says: “I can’t believe USC is a 4 ½-point favorite. Washington State has won two out of three against USC, both as dogs, [and] they’re getting disrespected here. Is anybody watching USC football? And Washington State is off to a good start. They haven’t done anything wrong.”
