Ourlads' Profile:
2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about FRANK DARBY: Arizona State, 6001 194 4.61. Three-year starter, Jersey City, NJ. Played in just four games in 2020 because of the shortened season and three game cancellations. Showed enough on tape over the span of 2018 through 2019, though. Averaged 20 yards per catch over that span and scored 10 touchdowns. He is a hard worker who has flashed deep threat, playmaking potential over his career. More than a simple straight-line athlete. He can explode out of his breaks when his mechanics are right, and he is a solid hands-catcher. There are technique-based issues here and he doesn’t always play strong, but there is a lot of raw talent combined with a notably impressive work ethic. Good gamble to at least be a solid depth chart option that can impact the deep passing game. Strong and sculpted frame with good lower body strength. Hard working athlete that has the competitive speed and short area juice to get open on all levels of the route tree. Tracks the ball exceptionally well, particularly when tracking it over his shoulder. Maintains his center of gravity while twisting and turning his upper body toward the ball. Reliable, soft hands. Will go get it with his mitts, not letting it into his body. Rarely lets one hit the turf when he gets his hands on it. 2020 stats (4 games): 6-46, 7.7 ypr, 1 TD. Fourth/fifth round. (A-31 3/8, H-9 5/8, VJ-34.5, SS-4.25).
