Ourlads' Profile:

2020 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about ALEX TAYLOR: South Carolina State, 6084 308 5.12. Two-year starter, Moncks Corner, SC. Transfer from Appalachian State. Earned first-team All-MEAC honors both years. Measured out as the longest player at the Senior Bowl. A good athlete with quick feet, balance, and agility. A wall off position blocker but flashes the ability to create vertical movement. Has a mean streak where he works to sustain his blocks and finish. Good lateral quickness when he plays with knee bend. He is able to reach and set the edge and slide off to seal linebackers on the second level. In pass protection he swallows up speed rushers with his length and foot quickness. Stronger anchor at times than his tall body would suggest. Has awareness of blitz and twist pickups. The former basketball player is still in a transition from another sport and has a lot to learn. He projects as a swing tackle while he develops his eyes, hands, and feet to redirect once beaten. Needs work on his punch. Needs to hold his hands higher. Needs more upper and lower body mass. OSR:8/41. Sixth/ seventh round. (A-36 1/8, H-11 1/4, BP-21, 10-1.78).
