Has played both outside and slot corner. Has experience in a variety of coverage including Cover 2, 3, quarters and press and off man. Fluid athlete he has smooth quick pedal and easy transitions to turn and run and react laterally. In press coverage is often disruptive with an off-hand jam. Normally ignores double move away from leverage and stays in phase on vertical routes. Flashes ball skills running with a vertical and can get to the catch point. As an outside zone defender gets quickly into a lateral run and stays over the top. Sudden break and drive with the ball in the air he can separate a receiver from the ball. Has shown well as a slot corner in run support getting downhill and driving through tackles in space. Has a knack for slipping blocks coming forward. There is some inconsistency on extended routes as he can get separated on double moves and out of position. In zone some inconsistency in cushion shows as it can break down or he gives up too much room in front. Often in recovery mode. Will miss an occasional tackle by lunging. At this point he is more athlete than finished product and there is a small sample. He has the tools and is a worthy work in progress. 2020 stats (2 games): 6 T, 2 TFL, 1 PBU. Fifth/sixth round.
