Ourlads' Profile:
2020 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about CARLOS DAVIS: Nebraska, 6021 314 4.78. Three-year starter, Blue Springs, MO. Honorable Mention All Big 10 in 2018. Also a discus thrower all four years for Nebraska. Twin brother to fellow prospect Khalil Davis. Carlos brings some size and power to the table which enabled him to play 3-4 defensive end, 3- 4 nose tackle, and 4-3 defensive tackle over his career. The kind of player who will be reliable in the role he is coached to play. He is likely destined for rotation duty, but his quickness and power will be a nice option for any scheme to have on their depth chart. Fire hydrant build, square from the shoulders on down. A lot of girth in his lower body, particularly below the knees. Plays with a low center of gravity with a solid forward lean. Quick and powerful off the snap. Can adjust his direction and weight without warning. Almost always the winner of the leverage battle. Feisty with fast hands. Can anchor his position against a power blocker. Plays low with high hands. Lacks the ideal height and length for the position. Will lose the lockout battle more often than not. Doesn’t feel the blocks coming down on him from either side. Gives up too much ground against the double team. Doesn’t have a developed skill set as a pass rusher. Loses control at times. 2019 stats: 32 T, 4.5 TFL, 4 sacks, 3 PBU, 1 QBH, 1 FF, 1 FR. Edge speed:left 2.19, right 2.25. OSR:2/ 19. Fourth/fifth round. (A-32, H-9 5/8, BP-27, 10-1.68).
