Ourlads' Profile:
2021 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about LARRY ROUNTREE III: Missouri, 5106 216 4.70. Three-year starter, Raleigh, NC. Led the Tigers in rushing each of the last three seasons with the program. Rountree left campus ranked second all-time in both rushing yards and touchdowns. A patient runner who will eat at a defense play by play, inch by inch. He wasn’t a big play back, but instead one that seemed to get hot the more touches he received. He is well put together, runs hard, and is smart. Plays at a different gear near the end zone. He excels at pressing the hole, making a decision, and bursting into the crease. His vision is a plus. Doesn’t look like a feature back but he can be a part of a weekly committee approach because of his versatile skill set Has a different speed and level of urgency when near the goal line. Excels at adjusting his weight and angles in relation to the tackler at the last instant. Works through contact and traffic. Excellent hands on the move, will get to balls away from his body. Doesn’t run as strong as he looks. A little light on contact, doesn’t always push the pile forward and yards after contact are inconsistent. Had ball security issues in 2019. Too often is found running with the ball in the wrong hand. Pass block techniques and awareness need to be cleaned up and refined. Top end speed won’t create big plays. 2020 stats: 972 yds, 4.7 ypc, 14 TD, 15 rec, 100 yds, 6.7 ypr. Sixth/ seventh round. (A-30 1/4, H-9 1/4, BP-18, SS-4.47).
