One year starter. Second-team All-AAC in 2023. He’s been a college journeyman playing at five different schools in six years. Had a promising start at Alabama and made All-Freshman team in 2018 but was kicked off the team and enrolled at Houston where as a transfer redshirt he was kicked off there as well. Transferred to UT Martin for a season and then Michigan. Feeling he needed more playing time to declare for the draft he transferred to Charlotte in 2023. Has the desired size in all areas and his athleticism projects well as an NFL edge rusher. Flashes snap quickness and can turn it into power attacking a block. Powerful gather and strike both taking on blocks and tackling. Shoots his hands and can stun and separate from blockers on the move. Solid lateral agility and range in pursuit he can chase to the perimeter or across the field. As a pass rusher he shows a powerful bull rush to separate and speed and acceleration when free. Lacks a variety of moves and relies on his physical traits. Has flashed production but it comes and goes. His motor runs hot and cold and he’s not one to hustle when the plays’ away. Will need to be coachable and develop technique to use his physical tools to be successful. His past issues may be behind him but the number of transfers is a concern. NFL teams will have to decide if the talent and upside is worth a draft pick. He grades as draftable but will likely go lower than his skill indicates and could be a free agent flier.
