Ourlads' Profile:
2015 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about CEDRIC REED: Texas, 6052 269 4.90. Two-and-a-half year starter from Cleveland, TX. Played much of the 2014 season with a torn meniscus in his left knee which may explain his drop off in production from his stellar 2013 All-America season. Most athletes would consider Reed’s production outstanding for a senior year, but the bar was set high. He flashes an athletic tool set to prosper on the next level. Tall and explosive with long arms. Had been durable over his career until the torn meniscus. Had a monster game versus West Virginia where he was a one-man wrecking crew and raised havoc with 7 tackles, 3 sacks, 4 tackles for loss, and a forced fumble. Plays hard from snap to whistle. Quick to read and react to blocking schemes. Played on punt coverage special teams. Versatile enough to play all along the defensive front. Needs to add more explosiveness and power to his game, but could be the steal of the 2015 draft. 2014 stats: 73 T, 10 TFL, 5.5 sacks, 7 QBH, 1 FF. Medical exclusion at Combine, left knee. Sixth/ seventh round. (A-33 3/8, H-9 3/4, BP-22, 10-DNP).
