Has garnered back-to-back first-team All-ACC honors and All-America mention. Has the skill, size and length that NFL teams look for in an outside cover corner. Has experience in a variety of coverages with very good ball skills. High points the ball with soft hands. Can play press as well as off coverage but he is at his best in press. Shows a sudden plant and drive reacting to the throw. Solid fundamentally in press man keeping his focus on the receiver and reacting to the ball when in phase. When backed off he will give up inside leverage at times. Has some trouble with cushion as he will let a receiver get up on his toes. As a result he finds himself chasing a receiver on a vertical. At times will sneak a peek at the quarterback with the ball in the air creating separation. Needs consistent eye discipline. Improved technique could be essential here. Not the toughest in run support. Has NFL skills but lack of vertical speed and inconsistent tackling ability are cause for concern.
