Ourlads' Profile:
2012 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about JONATHAN MASSAQUOI: Troy, 6021 264 4.89. Junior entry. Two-year starter. Junior college transfer with NFL DNA - Visanthe Shiancoe, Viking tight end and Mohamed Massaquoi, Browns’ wide receiver are cousins. He was the top prep defensive player coming out of Georgia in 2007. Did not qualify academically to major colleges then attended Butler Community College (KS). Was a pass rush terror in 2010 who played like his hair was on fire. He was concerned about one thing - getting to the ball. Jackrabbit start off the edge. At times he looked like he was beating the count across the line. Played end in mostly a three man front. Did get some work as a left end in a four man scheme. Good lateral speed and quickness down the line of scrimmage. Had a big time game versus Ohio University in the R & L Carriers New Orleans Bowl in 2010. Explosive first step quickness. Hard to block. This year was different after he picked up weight. Not a take-on guy. Struggled to fight blockers at the point of attack. May be a nickel pass rusher. Long arms and big hands. Should contribute on special teams’ coverage. Played a lot faster in 2010 than his 4.89/40 Combine time. In 2010 he had 13.5 sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss. 2011 stats: 52 tackles, 10.5 TFL, 6 sacks, 1 FF, 1 FR. Edge speed:left 2.32, right 2.48. OSR:19/25. Fifth/sixth round. (A-34 1/8, H-10 1/2, BP-20, SS-4.53).
