Ourlads' Profile:
2018 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about MICHAEL GALLUP: Colorado State, 6006 205 4.54. Two-year starter from Monroe, GA. An undisputed playmaking receiver and deep threat. A strong physical receiver who plays the game with a tough competitive edge. Wins at the line of scrimmage with good feet and an effective jab step to work defenders hips. Has good route strength, using his hands to swipe away defensive backs’ hands to control the route down the field. Uses good route stems to set up his breaks. Is a good route runner at all three levels, using above average acceleration and a long stride to create separation. Settles into zones with skill and awareness. Has the knack and ability to square up and attack 50/50 balls using a strong set of hands to take the catch away from defenders. Extremely explosive off his feet when competing for the football. Unaffected by contact from defenders when making contested catches in traffic. Has good run after catch ability using a stiff arm and competitive spirit to fight off would-be tacklers. A physical blocker in the run game and gives good effort on the perimeter. Has some lower body stiffness. Leg and knee bend stiffness cause him to round off or drift upfield on breaking in or out routes. Doesn’t have great over the top speed. Eyes came up a couple times looking at the safety when working over the middle. Lacks natural instincts during a scramble drill with quarterback. Overall, he is competitive strong physical pass catching receiver with two good years of production in college. 2017 stats: 100-1413, 14.1 ypr, 7 TD. OSR:29/45. Third/fourth round. (A-31 1/2, H-9 1/4, VJ-36, SS-4.37).
