KANSAS ST. (7-5) VS. UCLA (6-6)

Site: Chase Field, Phoenix.

Kickoff: Tuesday, 9 p.m. TV: ESPN.

Line: Kansas State by 6 ½.

All-time series: UCLA leads 2-1.

Last meeting: UCLA 40, Kansas St. 35 (2015 Alamo Bowl).

KANSAS STATE

Coach: Bill Snyder (26th season, 209-110-1).

All-time postseason: 8-12.

Last postseason appearance: Beat Texas A&M 33-28 in 2016 Texas Bowl.

Draft spotlight: DT Will Geary. Now a three-time All-Big 12 selection, the classic run-stopper has shown he wasn’t just piggybacking off Jordan Willis a year ago. A national champion wrestler and power lifter in high school, Geary’s tenacity makes up for any size issues with his just-shy-of-6-foot frame.

Other Wildcats to watch: *WR Byron Pringle, *OT Dalton Risner, *CB D.J. Reed, K Matthew McCrane.

Wildcat Tracks: K-State won four of its last five games in the regular season, including come-from-behind wins over Texas Tech and Iowa State and an upset of Oklahoma State. … The Wildcats went through three QBs before settling on redshirt freshman Skylar Thompson. … K-State is one of just three teams among the nation’s top 15 in both punt returns (14.8 yards) and kickoff returns (24.7).

UCLA

Coach: Jedd Fisch (interim, 1-0).

All-time postseason: 16-18-1.

Last postseason appearance: Lost to Nebraska 37-29 in 2015 Foster Farms Bowl.

Draft spotlight: FS Jaleel Wadood. Projected as a middle-round pick, Wadood’s 70 tackles ranks No.3 on the Bruins. He’ll finish his career among UCLA’s top 20 tacklers. Can be flamboyant on the field, but usually backs that up with solid performances.

Other Bruins to watch: WR Darren Andrews, C Scott Quessenberry, DE Jacob Tuioti-Mariner, OLB Kenny Young.

Bruin Meanderings: Josh Rosen, No.1 among draft-eligible QBs, doesn’t figure to play as he remains in concussion protocol. He didn’t finish the regular-season finale vs. Cal. … Fisch coaches his final game as the bridge between fired coach Jim Mora and incoming Chip Kelly. … The game marks the last sighting of No.42 on a UCLA uniform. The school has retired Jackie Robinson’s number, still worn by Young.
