Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 10

One of last week’s top running back waiver wire pick-ups Kenyan Drake blew up the gridiron finishing second or third (PPR) in fantasy football formats behind only Christian McCaffrey.Top add Jaylen Samuels has been sullied by many prognosticators but was solid finishing top ten in standard leagues and second in PPR formats due to his 13 receptions.

There are several waiver wire adds that could help those fantasy football team owners missing players because of the Week 10 bye. If you need a running back or quarterback, and you’re in a deep league, you may find the pickings slim.

But, you should have a ton of options at all other positions, especially in shallower leagues.

Don’t add a player to your fantasy football team if you don’t need one. “(S)” indicates a streaming option this week.

Teams on the Bye:Broncos, Eagles, Jaguars, Patriots, Redskins, Texans

Teams off the Bye:            Bengals, Falcons, Rams, Saints

QUARTERBACKS

1          Brian Hoyer (S), Colts

2          Matt Moore (S), Chiefs

3          Daniel Jones (S), Giants

4          Derek Carr, Raiders

5          Jimmy Garoppolo, 49ers

6          Ryan Tannehill, Titans

7          Kyle Allen, Panthers

8          Mitch Trubisky (S), Bears

Brian Hoyer came on nicely last week in relief of the injured Jacoby Brissett. If Matt Moore gets another start in place of the injured, he’s a solid option against a good but not great Titans defense. Daniel Jones is also in line for a good start against a weak Dolphins pass defense.

RUNNING BACKS

  • Damien Williams, Chiefs
  • Devin Singletary, Bills
  • Kenyan Drake, Cardinals
  • Kalen Ballage, Dolphins
  • Kareem Hunt, Chiefs
  • Ronald Jones, Buccaneers
  • J.D. McKissic (S), Lions
  • Trey Edmunds (S), Steelers
  • Darius Guice*, Redskins

Damien Williams should be 100% owned in all leagues. The reality is he’s the strongest and fastest running back on the Chiefs, and should be getting most carries, with LeSean McCoy the back-up. Similarly, so should Devin Singletary of the Bills.

Hang on to Kenyan Drake as it appears he’ll get at least one more start as David Johnson continues to convalesce from injury. Kalen Ballage gets to start for the next four games with Mark Walton suspended. So, running back needy fantasy football team owners in a thin waiver wire environment should make him a top add.

Kareem Hunt is set to return this week and should have a solid role, albeit a small one, on an offense-starved Browns team.

In deeper leagues, Ronald Jones or J.D. McKissic and Trey Edmunds could even help for one more week.

Darius Guide is nearing a return and will immediately slot in as the Redskins top running back option.

Wide Receivers

  • Mohammed Sanu, Patriots
  • Curtis Samuel, Panthers
  • Zach Pascal (S), Colts
  • Marquise Brown, Ravens
  • A.J. Green*, Bengals

6          Mike Williams, Chargers

7          AJ Brown, Titans

8          Jamison Crowder, Jets

9          DeVante Parker, Dolphins

10        Diontae Johnson, Steelers

11        Cole Beasley, Bills

12        Hunter Renfroe, Raiders

13        Keelan Cole (S), Jaguars

If you’re looking for a wide receiver, it’s a great week to add one even in deeper leagues. Except for Zach Pascal, the order of players above accounts for long term outlook of the player. As long as TY Hilton is out, Zach Pascal is a must start all leagues.

Tight Ends

1          Gerald Everett, Rams

2          Jacob Hollister, Seahawks

3          Noah Fant, Broncos

4          Mike Gesicki, Dolphins

5          Jack Doyle, Colts

6          TJ Hockenson, Lions

7          Chris Herndon*, Jets

Everett is available in many fantasy football leagues as he was dropped by many heading into the bye week.

Jacob Hollister turned heads in Week 9 dominating the snap count over other Seahawks tight ends and turning four catches into 37 yards and two touchdowns. Given the scarcity of fantasy football talent at the position, he’s worthy of an add.

Defenses

1          Ravens (v. Bengals)

2          Colts (v. Dolphins)

3          Giants (v. Jets)

4          Saints (v. Falcons)

5          Jets (v. Giants)

FOR WEEK 10: Rams (v. Bears)

Defenses referenced above each play teams that have either struggled this season or are having problems producing offense due to injuries or poor play. Any defense playing the Dolphins is a solid play this season.
