Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 12

One of last week’s top quarterback and wide receiver waiver wire pick-ups DaVante Parker and Derek Carr blew up the gridiron finishing top ten in fantasy football formats.

There are several waiver wire adds that could help those fantasy football team owners missing players because of the Week 12 bye. If you need a quarterback, and you’re in a deep league, you should be in good shape. However, if you need a player at any other position, especially at tight end, you should be in pretty shape to find a bye week plug-and-play. In shallower leagues, you’ll get what you want.

Last week’s deep sleepers who you can pick-up this week off the waiver wire: Ross Dwelley and Kalen Ballage.

Don’t add a player to your fantasy football team if you don’t need one. “(S)” indicates a streaming option this week.

Teams on the Bye:Cardinals, Chargers, Chiefs, Vikings

Teams off the Bye:Giants, Packers, Seahawks, Titans

QUARTERBACKS

1          Ryan Tannehill, Titans

2          Jeff Driskel (S), Lions

3          Baker Mayfield (S), Browns

4          Jacoby Brissett (S), Colts

5          Derek Carr (S), Raiders

6          Sam Darnold (S), Jets

7          Nick Foles, Jaguars

8          Mason Rudolph (S), Steelers

9          Kyle Allen, Panthers

10        Dwayne Haskins (S), Redskins

11        Chase Daniel (S), Bears

12        Daniel Jones, Giants

Jeff Driskel is a great streaming option this week against the Redskins. But, he’s also a great add as a back-up or option in two quarterback leagues. He’s finding ways to be relevant.

RUNNING BACKS

1          Jonathan Williams, Colts

2          Jaylen Samuels, Steelers

3          Derrius Guice, Redskins

4          Tarik Cohen, Bears

5          Kalen Ballage, Dolphins

6          Bo Scarbrough, Lions

7          Kyle Juszczyk, 49ers

8          J.D. McKissic, Lions

9          Nyheim Hines, Colts

10        Peyton Barber, Buccaneers

Anytime you have an opportunity to add a starting running back off the waiver wire, it’s almost automatic that he is your top add. Jonathan Williams took over when Marlon Mack went down to injury and will likely remain the Colts lead back for the foreseeable future.

Wide Receivers

  • DeVante Parker, Dolphins
  • Jamison Crowder, Jets
  • Will Fuller*, Texans
  • Deebo Samuel, 49ers
  • Randall Cobb, Cowboys
  • Josh Gordon (S), Seahawks
  • Hunter Renfroe (S), Raiders
  • Zach Pascal (S), Colts
  • Russell Gage, Falcons
  • Taylor Gabriel (S), Bears

Plenty of options in most leagues. The fact DeVante Parker is still available in many leagues is a head scratcher.

It’s time to add Randall Cobb. He’s looked great physically and is fitting in nicely on the Cowboys offense.

Tight Ends

1          Delanie Walker, Titans

2          Jacob Hollister, Seahawks

3          Ross Dwelley (S), 49ers

4          Ryan Griffin, Jets (S)

5          Dallas Goedert (S), Eagles

6          Tyler Eifert (S), Bengals

7          Cameron Brate, Buccaneers

8          Rhett Ellison (S), Giants

Delanie Walker should return from injury this week and slot in as the Titans’ number one receiver. As long as George Kittle is out, Ross Dwelley is a must start.

Defenses

1          Browns (v. Dolphins)

2          Lions (v. Redskins)

3          Raiders (v. Jets)

4          Falcons (v. Buccaneers)

5          Saints (v. Panthers)

6          Jaguars (v. Titans)

FOR WEEK 12: Eagles (v. Dolphins)

Lots of options this week on the waiver wire. Defenses referenced above each play teams that have either struggled this season or are having problems producing offense due to injuries or poor play. Any defense playing the Dolphins is a solid play this season.
