FIRST ROUND MOCK DRAFT (17-24)

17 Dallas WR Justin Jefferson, LSU

Option 2 DE A.J. Epenesa, Iowa

Adding a talent like Jefferson to the Cowboys passing game would give them a unique trio of receivers most teams just cannot match.

18 Miami QB Tua Tagovailova, Alabama

Option 2 QB Justin Herbert, Oregon

If Miami does indeed play the patient game, they will be able to land their future quarterback.

19 Las Vegas CB A.J. Terrell, Clemson

Option 2 CB Kristian Fulton, LSU

G.M. Mike Mayock took three Clemson players in his first draft. So, why not add one more?

20 Jacksonville CB Kristian Fulton, LSU

Option 2 DE Yetur Gross-Matos, Penn State

After taking a left tackle prospect with their first pick, the Jags need to direct their attention to defense by taking a starting caliber corner or a replacement for pending trade candidate, Yannick Ngakoue.

21 Philadelphia WR Denzel Mims, Baylor

Option 2 WR Justin Jefferson, LSU

The Eagles taking a receiver with their first pick should be as good a lock as any in the draft.

22 Minnesota DE Yetur Gross-Matos, Penn State

Option 2 CB Jeff Gladney, TCU

The Vikings will probably decide on a cornerback, edge-rusher, or a receiver.

23 New England QB Jordan Love, Utah State

Option 2 QB Jacob Eason, Washington

I just can’t buy the Patriots standing pat on this position early. They are a good candidate to trade up too.

24 New Orleans DT Javon Kinlaw, South Carolina

Option 2 LB Kenneth Murray, Oklahoma

Both players are good fits and the Saints would be incredibly pleased to see them on the board.
