FIRST ROUND MOCK DRAFT (9-16)
9 Jacksonville OT Andrew Thomas, Georgia
Option 2 OT Mekhi Becton, Louisville
It’s time to find a legit left tackle and let Cam Robinson move inside.
10 Cleveland OT Jedrick Willis Jr., Alabama
Option 2 DT Javon Kinlaw, South Carolina
If all four top offensive linemen are gone by now, it could precipitate a trade with Washington for Trent Williams.
11 New York WR Jerry Jeudy, Alabama
Option 2 OT Jedrick Willis Jr., Alabama
If the Jets lose out on of the top four offensive linemen, they’ll have to decide whether to take the top receiver on the board or try and trade down and take a tackle later. Austin Jackson from USC would be an outside possibility.
12 Las Vegas WR Henry Ruggs III, Alabama
Option 2 WR Jerry Jeudy, Alabama
This is all about the receiver position, a definitive need for Oakland.
13 San Francisco WR Cee Dee Lamb, Oklahoma
Option 2 DT Javon Kinlaw, South Carolina
The 49ers must provide Deebo Samuel with a competent partner and they cannot rely on Jalen Hurd, who missed his rookie campaign with a back injury. Kinlaw would be a good replacement for DeForest Buckner.
14 Tampa Bay OLB K’Lavon Chaisson, LSU
Option 2 WR Cee Dee Lamb, Oklahoma
The Bucs need a right tackle to compete with newly acquired Joe Haeg. But unless they trade up to land one, it might be a reach to take the fifth-best prospect here (Jackson).
15 Denver CB CJ Henderson, Florida
Option 2 WR Henry Ruggs III, Alabama
This is a tough choice. Denver really needs more receiver talent, but thanks to a deep receiver class it might make more sense to take a top corner first.
16 Atlanta DE A.J. Epenesa, Iowa
Option 2 CB CJ Henderson, Florida
This should come down to an edge-rusher or a corner and with Henderson taken just ahead of Atlanta, the playmaker from Iowa is an excellent consolation.
